C.A. Hull Informational Session

Operating Engineers 324 Apprenticeship Evaluation Process

Dates: October 20–24, 2025

Graduates of Career Technical Education (CTE) programs are invited to apply for direct entry into the Operating Engineers 324 Apprenticeship Evaluation Process.

Requirements

  • Be at least 17 years old

  • Have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and residency

  • Provide an official high school transcript showing graduation and CTE program completion

  • Pay a $35 non-refundable application fee (Visa or Mastercard)

  • Submit WorkKeys test scores for:

    • Applied Mathematics – Level 3 or 4

    • Graphic Literacy – Level 4

    • Workplace Documents – Level 4(Each must include a two-digit scale score.)

WorkKeys tests must be taken in person at Michigan Works or community colleges such as:Wayne County Community College (313.992.3311), SEMCA Highland Park (313.826.0299), and others listed on michiganworks.org.


Detroit at Work Job Fair

Dates: October 23, November 6 & November 20

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, 1211 Trumbull, Detroit, MI 48216

Detroit at Work offers free training programs in high-demand industries like healthcare, manufacturing, construction, IT, and customer service. Career coaches will be on-site at this job fair to help you find the best training or job match for your goals.


Think Pink Health & Job Fair

Date: October 23

Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: WCCCD Northwest Campus, 8200 West Outer Drive, Detroit, MI 48219

This free event combines health screenings, fitness activities, and job opportunities in one place. Expect on-site employers such as Corewell Health, Molina Healthcare, Matrix Human Services, and more, plus health and wellness activities like yoga, massages, and flu/COVID-19 vaccines.


WayneLINC Resource Fair

Date: Thursday, October 24, 2025

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: 6451 Schaefer St, Dearborn, MI

This fair connects Wayne County residents to career coaching, education programs, disability and veteran resources, transportation help, and more. If you’re unemployed, underemployed, or exploring new career paths, this is a great place to start.
