The Wayne Women’s Mobile Health Unit, in partnership with the Durfee Innovation Society, is offering free preventative health screenings and essential care services to women in the Detroit community.

Detroit, MI – Women in Detroit now have greater access to essential health services thanks to a new partnership between the Wayne Women’s Mobile Health Unit and the Durfee Innovation Society. Starting this year, the mobile unit will offer free preventative health screenings and care every Monday at the Durfee Innovation Society, providing a vital resource for women in the community.
The initiative aims to address gaps in women’s healthcare by offering general health screenings for diabetes, cholesterol, and kidney function, as well as pre-pregnancy health assessments, prenatal care, and contraception options. In addition to medical services, the mobile unit will connect visitors with community resources and follow-up care, ensuring that women receive ongoing support for their health needs.

The mobile health unit will be stationed at the Durfee Innovation Society every Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2470 Collingwood St., Detroit, MI 48206. No appointments are necessary, and all services are provided free of charge.
With this initiative, organizers hope to improve health outcomes for women by offering convenient, accessible, and proactive care. For more information, residents are encouraged to visit the Durfee Innovation Society or contact the Wayne Women’s Mobile Health Unit.
